ADDICTION
Hello, my name is [name] and my addiction does not have power over me! I am in control.
I have been a slave to it for years and today I break the chain that links us.
I trust myself I am standing on my own strength and will. I am open to the fact that there are many levels of addiction, and they can all be overcome. My process and progress is in me, and up to me.
You are a conqueror!
You can beat your addiction.
You have to understand everything about yourself and your addiction in order to conquer it.
Addiction is a disease that can be conquered.
It’s a fact: addiction is a disease, but it doesn’t have to define who you are. You have the power to fight it and overcome it, just like anyone else.
The first step is recognizing that there’s an issue. Once you do that, take a step back and evaluate your situation. Understand what’s going on in your life—what triggers the addiction, and how you respond to those triggers. Then come up with a plan for how you’re going to deal with them in the future.
Make sure that this plan includes ways to manage your cravings (whether they’re for drugs or alcohol), as well as ways to avoid situations where they might occur. If necessary, seek professional help from a therapist or counselor who specializes in substance abuse treatment.
Once you’ve identified your triggers and developed strategies for managing them, stick with them! Your progress will depend on how committed you are to following through on your plans—so don’t give up if things aren’t perfect right away! I am a living testament !
You are way stronger than you know!!
Who will you choose today, them (your addictions) or yourself?
The choice is yours!!!
